The decorated cups are an excellent gift idea, not only for its originality but also because it is a personalized and simple gift to make.

Today we will show you how to decorate cups with sharpie markers in a fun and simple way.

35 minutesDifficultyEasy

Step 1: Clean the cup

To start, you need a white cup and sharpie markers. You can buy markers of different colors, depending on the design you want to make.

Make sure you clean the cup very well and remove any stains or labels. If you prefer, you can rub the cup with a cotton ball with alcohol to make sure there is no residue.

Step 2: It's time to paint!

If you're going to write on the cup it's a good idea to practice it first on a sheet of paper, so you can calculate the space you need for your design, try fonts, etc.

Once you are sure of the design you want to make, start drawing it in the cup. Don't worry if you make a mistake! Just swipe a cotton ball with alcohol, clean the area you want to erase, wait for it to dry and draw again.

Step 3: Bake

Leave the cup in an oven for 25 minutes at 180º. Turn off the oven, leaving the cups inside, until it cools.

Once the oven is cold, remove the cups and wash them with warm water and soap.If you notice that the colours of the marker are lighter, apply a new coat with the marker and put the cups in the oven for another 10 minutes at the same temperature.

Step 4: Final result

And presto! You already have your personalised cup with which you can have a delicious coffee or tea in the mornings or give to your loved ones on special occasions.
