Step 1: Materials needed

Let's look at some ways of how to take glass label and how to remove aluminum can labels. They all work, so you can choose the method that you find easiest or the one where you already have all the materials you need at home.

Step 2: Hot Water

For all the methods you'll need hot water. Fill a large bowl or part that can fit the bottles or cans

Step 3: Remove label with sodium bicarbonate

Add half a cup of baking soda into the bowl with hot water, pop in the labeled bottle and wait for about 30 minutes to take the labels from glass bottles and 5 minutes for labels on aluminum cans.

Step 4: Remove label with baking powder

Baking powder also has properties that help to remove glass and aluminum label. After adding the baking powder into the hot water wait around 30 minutes to ensure the the complete removal of the label from the bottle.

Step 5: Remove the label on plastic sticker

Plastic stickers may be easier to take off than paper stickers

Step 6: Use your clean bottles for further DIY projects

You can now use your clean bottles in future DIY projects and ideas
