With spring in full bloom and blossom bursting from every tree, we're surrounded by a myriad of natural colours, shapes and fragrances. Daffodils, snowdrops, lilies and geraniums all sit before a sea of greens, that creep their way back into every corner of our lives, at this time of rebirth and new beginnings.

The green doesn't have to stay on the trees though; why not bring it into the home? A Green theme or mood in a room can add a fresh, zingy kick to its atmosphere, keeping you bright and alert, whilst looking great at the same time. Lets see how some of our best spring time specialists bring a touch of life into their designs through use of this fundamental colour…

Seasonal bedroom

Wouldn't this be a joy to wake up to? A bright and warming morning scene, infused with glorious greens. The Peer Steinbach design in this bedroom is just made for the morning. Look at how the sunlight frames itself on the feature wall adding to the warm and welcoming spring feeling the morning ushers in.

Another great idea here is how the versatility of this room  allows one to easily redecorate to suit the season—simply repaint that back wall a mustard yellow, take down the blinds and replace them with a light red and you've got yourself a summer theme going. Suitable for all seasons.

Chartreuse conservatory

Lively greens and whites can transform moods a lot during the day. Especially so as a light filter like Peer Steinbach again shows us in this conservatory design. The pure and rich coloured elements of the interior produce a splendid setting for any spring morning.

No springtime is complete without a magnificent floral display. At this time of year your garden is home to a host of natural greens in every corner: moss, grass, wild flowers and herbs; that you can use to frame your floral displays. The moss lined rim on the vase, to the left, is a particularly nice finish.

Teal tattoos

Wall tattoos are an innovative and cost effective way to personalize your home for each season. A bright green in the bathroom, honeydew in the hall or shamrock on the stairwell, the choice is yours. Wall tattoos are also great for experimenting when your thinking of redesigning too, as they provide you with an idea of what certain colours will look like in your room of choice!

Playing with pastel colours

Pastel colour decorations and fittings can brighten up even the darkest of rooms. This cottage scene certainly benefits from the sheer curtains and cushions scattered about.

Green is a wondrous and transforming colour that can be liberally used to great effect; inviting in a façade of natural surroundings and absolutely revelling in the spring sunlight. Try it for yourself, add a dash of green to your life!
