This London home is, quite frankly, something else. Comprised of 4 stories, this Hampstead abode doesn't leave much to be desired in terms of luxury, comfort and facilities. Indeed, in addition to the regular components of a house—kitchen, bathroom, lounge etc.—we find a bar, sauna, cinema, two gyms, pool, hair salon and more; as you will see below!
The team from Fisher ID have gone to all manner of lengths to make sure that this remarkable place can cater for any occasion, whilst also being a family home. The lower stories and basement are luxuriously tailored for entertainment and hosting and the upper stories evoke more of a family hub, with more playful, modern and retro-chic decoration.
Fisher ID can turn their hand to projects large and small; from bespoke furniture to full interior renovation and design. In this case, no expense has been spared; together, the team aimed to create 'a luxurious yet comfortable family home, using distinctive materials, layered with texture and colour', to which, I think, we can all agree, has been created.
Let's take a closer look at how the team have made this place what it is today—a word of warning though: your mouth may well be left hanging afterwards!
The entire composition of this study is an aesthetic marvel. From the subtle grey panelling, the Italian made marble fireplace, the chandelier, book shelves and dark wood flooring to the general open and airy feel of the room, you cant help wanting to grab a book, lay back and soak up the atmosphere.
The natural light received from both stories provides the opportunity to create your own perfect ambient mood for reading or relaxing in. The intense darks in of the chairs, wooden tables, floor and fireplace also aid notably to the mood of the room; ensuring the daylight is never too intense.
Imagine being sat down here, for drinks and nibbles, pre-dinner, you would certainly leave with an impression of class to say the least. With space enough for 26 people to be seated, the room thrives of its manipulation of the artificial light of the chandeliers. The ceiling above the chandeliers is painted in a metallic paint in order to reflect more of their warm light back down to the seating areas.
Boredom would be no issue in this reception—even if the other guests were, you'd still have the interior design to talk about and marvel at!
I think it's fair to say that even if I were brought in here after a belly full of impressed, I'd still have room for a little more! The Chinese lacquer effect walls are even graduated around the edges and corners to give it that aged look and sets the tone of the room. The chandelier works wonders at bouncing the light around; livening the whole scene up. The velvet upholstery of the chairs, handsome rug and the vase motifs, by the ornamental drapes, all combine perfectly to give give of the desired theme.
Bold, bright and welcoming, the entrance is spacious and, above all, will leave any guest with a serious impression, straight from the word go. The black watermarked walls help to draw you attention to all the surrounding features in the room and straight on; to the dining room. We particularly like the design of the two consoles below the mirrors, where the theme of ballance, weight and power lend their prominice.
A more homely and comfortable looking cinema would be difficult to find. Spread over four levels, and with enough space for 24 people, Fisher ID's cinema design has defiantly got the wow factor . The fine upholstery is the perfect place to lay back in and enjoy a good flick with friends and family. The diagonal wall panels with LED back lighting is a particularly nice touch.
Sat before a large screen, with a high quality cinema surround sound audio system and with a real projection booth, this screening room has all the components to replicate that authentic cinema experience.
A pool like this would certainly add a touch of class to your morning dip. The rear chandelier mosaic is a definite work of art, displaying itself elegantly in the reflection of the pool from this angle and acts as a central focus point for the entire room. The custom lighting, in the ceiling recesses and columns, create a subtle but elegant ambience that ultimately gives the pool room a feel of tranquillity.
This is any girls dream come true; a salon at your disposal! Located in the spa area of the basement, along with the pool and a gym, the bright stylish layout will help you in getting ready for a big night out or just an evening manicure. The room even features a massage bed for those stresses built up over the day… .
After a nice film (or even after a nice swim!), why not retire to the bar. The blackened cabinet finish that runs through the bar will help in creating a great, low lit evening mood to help your guest relax in. The main bar area is even lined with wine coolers; so everything's under control beforehand.
Soft tertiaries and mauves, morning light flooding in from the garden, sat around a beautifully made pedestal table, enjoying a coffee and reading the paper… … . sounds like morning bliss. We particularly love the leather chairs, which blend in superbly with the rest of this part of the house.
This conservatory would be perfect for those relaxed, late mornings with a coffee and a book or afternoon tea with a few friends. The light and dark contrasts in the furniture spawn a very desirable effect, not allowing the huge amount of natural light, that the room receives, to become too overpowering- in tandem, of course, with the pinoleum blinds.
Every lady needs a dressing room and, in this case, this is part of a twin, female master dressing room set. As we move up into the upper levels of the house, the luxurious design has, as you can see, not at all been compromised. The central, mirror clad island is extendible upwards in order to showcase accessories and perfumes- exquisite.
Just as any lady needs a dressing room, so does a man- imagine putting on your cuff-links and tying your Windsor in here! The bronze leather fittings and warmly lit surroundings make for the perfect atmosphere for any man to do himself up in.
Comfort, style and practicality. Fisher ID's master bedroom deign not only loans itself to the run through theme of the house but also expresses its luxury comfort factor. Take note of the oversized diamond panel head board, soft lighting arrangement and elevated TV set located inside the dresser at the foot of the bed. We, here, agree that this bedroom layout would provide a stunning night's sleep- and a nice scene to wake up to as well!
As we come to the top floor of the house, we can see a complete change from luxurious palace of pampering and entertainment, to cosy, vibrant family area. The red polished plaster wall is loud, playful and really adds an awesome feature to the room.
The sofa looks big, bouncy and colourful; a feeling that extends to the giant rug which sprawls throughout the room. You cant help but admire the contract between this floor of the house and the rest of the downstairs' interior design.
This living area would be so perfect for when you're not entertaining and the close and modern furniture and installations are such fun. The back painted glass counter tops are a lovely feature, and adds itself to the other contributing factors of this zesty apartment design.
