To archive all your belongings you don't necessarily need a lot of  space; something that is especially true these days, where most of our life is stored in our pocket! But the creative mind needs a lot of exercise in the modern day because of this: regular walks, staring at a distant focal point intermittently, or even a liquid lunch.

However, the ability to concentrate on work requires nothing more than focus and, with regular intervals for creative inspiration, who said we need a lavish office and desk to sit at in order to be so? Here are some intuitive, original and some down right awesome desk designs from our professionals

Hidden work station

This design barely comes out more than the skirting board from the wall and, when closed, would strike one as an electric or utility box; at a glance. A compact and creative design, from Design Studio iidee, that expands the boundaries of functional space and allows us to combine our compact technology with compact furniture. This design also integrates a charging dock for tablets and phones as well as additional storage space for this hardware and much more.

Stay flexibe

A completely mobile work station that's as portable as a laptop and as easy to store as a foldable chair? No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Big enough to host both a laptop and a glass, you will have no worries about getting the creative juices flowing at this station- at home or elsewhere! Want to work outside? Just pick it up and go. The desk does have many practical uses in fact: a play station for a child, a makeshift chopping board- when all other space is taken- a music stand, the list goes on! Design by Design Studio iidee

Hidden world

Closed, this cupboard looks just that; a cupboard. However, open it up and you're in for a shock: 25 shelves, an extendible and elongated work place, two draws, drawing board and space for a safe all housed in this vision of loveliness. At only 54cm in depth, this fold-out office doesn't take up much space and can house a surprising amount paper work.

Drawn together

Admittedly, this desk/table conserves neither space nor offers practicality. However, it is a nice desk and one that would certainly help you get in the creative mood from time to time. Made from hundreds of individual lengths of spruce, each model of this Christian Speier design is unique and can come in a variety of sizes.
