Quayside living

This is a scene to behold- you would be hard pushed to find a better cityscape view in many places of an evening. It goes, then, without saying that a view like this will pave way for the basis of an excellent outdoor living area: spacious and airy, open and filled with the far off ambient sounds of the city; an easy place to watch the day pass by or to entertain friends. I Think it's fair to say that anyone you bring to a space like this in your home will be impressed; to say the least. Design by Leicht

A rustic and charming roof-top terrace here from Italian design studio Au Dehors. Town and scenic views from an enclosed space that is practical for any weather. The wood fire and stone sink installations add a lot to the design and the addition of lots of green is also are great for those with green fingers; with lots of space provided for potting up and replanting!

If you're fortunate enough to live somewhere that has a high-angle view of a city, lake, river or the countryside from your home, making the most of it in the summer is a no brainier. Imagine yourself sat here with clear blue skies on a hot day, with friends. Design from Kazanski
