It's somehow exciting to get a sneak peek and see how the other half live. Be it celebrities or the elite, there's a certain curiosity attached as we want to see inside the homes of those for whom money flows a little easier. The home we are privileged to tour through today is part of that bracket, located in the luxurious London suburb of Primrose Hill. The area is synonymous with big houses, lavish properties and a stunning view of the city as it sits proudly perched upon the hill. Sutters Partnership have restored and remodelled this incredible family home, bringing it back to its former glory which was marred by a series of poor conversions. Inside, you will see a wonderful mix of classic materials, traditional furniture and creatively laid out spaces. Take a look…
What a grand and beautiful façade indeed! The exterior has been refreshed and remodelled, and is now in-line with the other impressive homes in Primrose Hill. There are many beautiful details that can be observed; from the ornate window decorations to the impressive arched porch. Each and every feature has been considered and matches the bespoke interior design that you are about to see.
When you have access to a garden as splendid as this, it makes sense to take full advantage of the scenery and frame the available view. In this instance, a dining room has been placed in the orangery extension. Bathed in natural light, the stunning pitched glass roof, along with elongated glass windows allows the charming outdoor space to enter the room. Here, guests and occupants can dine under the gentle glow of the English sun, or watch the clouds roll over on a winters day.
This bathroom is part of the master bedroom suite, which encompasses a dressing room and two large bathrooms. No detail has been spared here, every surface has been covered in a high quality material, which as you can see, is pink marble. The shower unit is the epitome of luxury, looking very much like what we've grown accustomed to seeing in an expensive 5 star hotel. The warm glow provided by the colour palette and ambient lighting creates an inviting ambience; a space that the occupants are sure to emerge relaxed and regenerated from.
Wow—who said that children cannot have access to luxury spaces like adults do? In this image, we see a wonderful monochromatic bathroom space from black marble and ornate white finishes. The wall panelling is truly something remarkable, reminding us that we are indeed inside a period style home. The dual basins, while aesthetically pleasing, are the perfect way to ensure there is no arguments over who is using the bathroom when—harmony for both parents and child has been considered.
The kitchen is bespoke and undoubtedly custom made for this home. If we didn't know that we were in metropolitan London, we'd think this scene was set in the English countryside. A rustic feel reigns supreme, with detailed wooden cabinetry and deluxe kitchen fixtures and appliances. You can just imagine the dreamy smells that would permeate through this space when a Sunday roast is crackling away in the oven.
For formal affairs and occasions, there is this exceptional reception room that leads onto the dining space pictured in the background. These important areas open out onto the garden and create the perfect zones to host a lavish dinner party, or sumptuous high tea. As with every other room, the smallest and finest of details and decorations have been considered—from the ornate furniture legs to the stunning cornice work. This is really a home that exemplifies life in one of London's most coveted addresses.
