When choosing garden furniture, one of the most important decisions revolves around the material used for your chairs and tables. Although there are apparently many varieties and aspects, the possibilities just reduced to three: metal, wood or plastic.

Plastics are the material of choice this summer. Plastic chairs on terraces and beach bars are where we discover the meaning of the word paradise. But although we can not help feeling a certain tenderness toward plastic chairs, we just use them and then throw them away. So no more of this waste not want not attitude, let’s take a look at some timeless pieces.

Stackable garden furniture

One of the great advantages of plastic chairs are their ability to become one. No matter how many seats you have, you can always end up piling them in a corner.

Maybe during the summer, this detail will go unnoticed, but it will be an advantage to consider when the first rains arrive on time to close down our garden and store furniture indoors

Economic

Much cheaper than wood and metal and much less weather retardant, plastic can be a good option when our budget is limited, and we need many chairs in our garden, for example, a celebration.

In this case the plastic chairs are a good choice because they are lightweight, easily transportable and simple to clean. But often, the typical plastic chair models are too bulky.

Chair personalisation ideas

The most common plastic chairs may become chairs fit for a wedding, after using a bit of our creativity. Coating them with fabric, adding links or just changing pads, canvas furniture can be upgraded with ease.

Talking plastic is talking about a wide range of textures and shapes. If we look for a more elegant touch, we can always turn to synthetic resin, like these chairs, inspired by the classic wicker armchairs, is not uncommon in most modern beaches or even cities.

But plastic can go far beyond traditional chair. It is a material that holds up well outside and so is often used as an exterior surface. In this case, the plastic can be sophisticated, modern and very original.
