Today we're looking at the best of balconies and admiring the one place in our home where we can enjoy nature from above and sunbathe in privacy!  For barbecues, summer parties and eating al-fresco, we want to make sure you make the most of your balcony throughout the year -that's right even in the winter- because, if you do have one, it's a place that can really make a house a home.

Have a look at this view! Wow! If you're lucky enough to host such a spectacular scene, out on the balcony, then I'd hope you would use it every day of the year! And if not, it would go wasted without use! Protected from the wind and rain (75% of the time) A balcony like this would be a genuine delight to experience.

City balcony

Yet another excellent example of a great view from a balcony, this time in a city. Planting pots strewn length long across the apartment; offering the possibility to do a little more than admire the views. In addition, the glass fronted entrance to the balcony, from inside, allows one to enjoy the view, even when the weather is a little bitter!

If you're the owner of a small balcony, you should make the most of every square inch available. Take, for example, the balcony pictured. Some would consider it too small, but a space this small really isn't the end of the world. Go to all lengths to make the best possible use of your balcony, even if it is a little on the small size—you could end up with a result as charming as this.

Why not deck your balcony out with a personal touch? If you like the eclectic and vintage style, let it show by getting yourself some vintage balcony furniture. Look how charming this scene looks—imagine just how great an evening meal would be up here, the sun setting in the distance.

Balcony flooring

You can really set the style of your balcony through the type of flooring you opt for. In this scene, for example, the use of terracotta tiles sets a Mediterranean tone to the whole composition. Imagine what you could to with concrete, brick or natural stone finishes…
