Generally speaking, the subject of camping outdoors holds some axiomatic restrictions one what one can do during its practice; you sleep on the floor. And yes, we've all heard of hammocks, but have you ever heard of sleeping in a hanging, full size, tent? Well, you have now. The design team at Tentsile have strung up this great design to be used for practical and novelty use. Take a look for yourself…
Sometimes those hard or uneven surfaces that you sleep on during a camping expedition are just too much, and you’re seeking an alternative to this discomfort. The hanging tent does, of course, provide you with an alternative to this. Able to sleep 3 people, in what are essentially 3 connected hammocks, the Tentsile Stringray allows for a comfortable night’s sleep in a safe environment.
The units can happily carry up to 400 kg of weight and weighs just under 9 kg, itself. The model is available in six different colours and uses a rope ladder for easy access into the interior. For star gazing purposes, one is also able to remove the canvas protection that would usually provide shelter from the rain, wind and insects.
For camping groups too, finding clear space will be less of an issue as you can attach several tents to only a handful of trees in the same area. This will also be of use for those who wish to take the equipment to a more exotic place, for more or a dangerous adventure; keeping a group close. This too can be applied when you consider protection from insects.
