To be able to see a good selection of home furnishings is to be able to view an idea in full. Viewing a professional designers idea is something that we can all enjoy; looking at the smart combinations of colours, textures, lighting and styles. So, today, we thought that you might enjoy a look at some of the latest home furnishing ideas that we have here, at homify, at let you see, one, a selection of the best furnishings in combination from some of the country's best designers and, two, that a little thinking, outside of the box, can go a long way.

A good collection of styles, colours, textures and tones here as we look at this top down view of a top design living room. The sheer hight of this extended conservatory adds a great feel of spaciousness to an already large room and, subsequently, gives a lot of room for each article of furniture, pattern and material to breath and speak for themselves.

Blended into a striking eclectic fusion, the contemporary elements of this interior layout chime quite wonderfully with the classic features in the walls and floors. And again, we see a good mixture of textures and colours hitting it off in what is, quite frankly, a stand-out design.

For those of us who like to show our true colours, we could always opt for more of a loud design, such as this one. The plain contrast between red and white in this design is striking and leaves no room for design ambiguity. This living room was actually one featured in television show, 60 minute make over.

We love how the upholstery of this sofa reflects the look of the book case behind it. It would also be, generally speaking, difficult to place this sofa into an interior without it looking overbearing, but in this scene you can see that it works a charm.

Classic furnishings

What a good looking scene. What more is there to say than that the combination of every item of furniture and accessory are harmonically composed. Again the use of tine and texture here speaks for itself with a balance of plush neutral velvets and the more zingy flavours of the green cushions, flowers and fruit.

Modern home furnishings

If you aren't so game for the classic types, perhaps what will interest you is some more modern home furnishings. Take a look at this chair and side table arrangement, for example: they complete the look of the scene without issue, imbalance or distaste and would make a suitable accompaniment to any modern home.
