In the UK, we’re still big on a bit of the old patchwork design, and it isn't hard to see why either: each piece offering its individual charm, story and appeal to whoever’s admiring it. Now, we find it on all manner of designs, accessories and furniture and can enjoy it at home or out in real world! Some of our British designers have some excellent examples of just how versatile patchwork can be, in a design, and that’s exactly what we have for you today.
Although the concept patchwork, today, knows no boundaries and is very easy to spot everywhere in interior design, it still looks great in its original form—namely, blankets, pillows, carpets, pouffes and other such accessories . As for colours, shapes, materials and designs, really every conceivable facet is covered—from colourful gaudy to rustic and subtly playful to edgy.
Enough of the usual white/beige/grey tile monotony, may be bathroom or kitchen be with colourful patchwork tiles. Whether one opts for the traditional country style or the hip urban variant, each speaks for itself. Either way, it results in a more exciting look that is fun and brings life to the place.
Also, living room chairs do not need to keep coming in monochrome. Especially when talking about a family environment, where colour, rustic, romantic or retro-inspired looks are key.
