Having a stylish home does not necessarily mean spending a lot of money on decorating. Sometimes, with small details, you can give you a chic and elegant touch to your home without putting holes in your pockets.

A candle here, a cushion there.. These are the key to striking and inexpensive decorations are the accessories . They are what give colour, and can change the face of our rooms without large investments or heavy reforms. Today we have some great decorating tips on the cheap!

1. Lounge cushions

A simple and inexpensive way to give a touch of colour to our dining or living rooms are with pillows. It is a cheap and versatile accessory that can be found with many styles, patterns and colours.

In a loveseat (as pictured) we can place between three and five pillows. The centre should always be smaller to create balance. Also remember that a mixture is always welcome: you can easily combine textures and prints too.

2. Wall stickers

Cheap, easy to apply (and remove) these wall stickers have become a fast and effective way to brighten up any space! The tricky part is not finding what you want, but being able to choose between the many options available. Do not give up: everything you can imagine you can find made as a wall sticker. A super easy way to dress up the walls of our rooms.

3. Lights for the kitchen

The kitchen yearns for pure functionality and, sometimes, for the sake of practicality we forget it can be decorated like other rooms in the house. However, colourful garlands of paper lamps can be hooked into any corner and can add a playful and irreverent touch to our kitchens.

4. Floral bathrooms

The humidity of the bathroom makes this room the perfect spot for certain types of plants and flowers. Wherever there is a flat surface, for example a bath ledge or basin, a plant will provide a green touch to make our bathrooms more pleasant. An economical solution for decoration that will only cost a few dollars a week.

5. Positive messages

We all want our home to transmit emotions of joy and good cheer. So pictures, photos or films with positive messages are always welcome in any corner of the house. In this reading nook, the table with the slogan 'smile' helps to indeed make you smile and adds a fun element to the room.

6. Dining mood

There is nothing that brings more warmth to a room than a candle. Candles are cozy and always manage to convey the feeling of home. It is not always necessary to search for large chandeliers for the dining tables, as candles are decorative in themselves. All with just a simple flame.

7. Garden murals

The walls of our terraces and gardens are a blank canvas for our creativity. Perhaps if we dare not paint the inside of the house, why not in the courtyard, a free territory where we can afford to try the brushes. The good thing about murals is that they can always be repainted over and over again, so… why not try?
