Now that summer is in full swing, we can finally make the most of our gardens and outdoors areas. Going to work and staying a little late doesn't bother us any longer; we know we have at least another four or so hours to enjoy in the sun before it disappears beneath the horizon line.

A garden is just a green space until it is furnished, and then it transformed into something more. By adding loungers, you can entertain friends with cocktails or dinner in the evening, breakfast and even a cup of tea or coffee as the sun sets.

Oriental express

Hidden under the shade of this beautiful timber veranda, you can lay about on these beautiful wicker lounges surrounded by exotic textiles and accessories. Why not bring the spirit of a recent trip, or much loved memories of the orient to your outdoor area? Calm shades of blue, lanterns and softly draped fabrics ooze serenity. With this setting, you can feel like you are permanently on vacation even if your home is located in the suburbs of Great Britain.

Out of the box

Why not choose a different shape to lounge about on? These amazing egg chairs are perfect to relax in solitude, read a book or just curl up into after a hard day. The shape of the chair is completely ergonomic, supporting the natural curve in the body, you can be sure that while relaxing, your spine and back will be taken care of too.

Multi-functional

A shelf and lounge unit all in one! For the ultimate in space maximising design, you can store a myriad of things between the shelves which also cleverly acts as a back rest and support if you are sitting upright on the lounge. The only downside of this lounger unit is that you will need to come up with ideas as to what you're going to store in the shelves!

Tea time

If long loungers aren't the idea you had envisaged for your garden design, these single wicker sofas are a great option. Made from highly durable and sun resistant fabric, you can be sure that this particular setting will last well beyond the years you assumed it would. Have a spot of tea and some cake mid-morning, all while chatting with your friends well into the afternoon as the hours pass without you knowing.

Colour pop

Standard lounger colours are always in black, brown or white. For reasons that they easily adaptable to many settings and surroundings in terms of matching decor. In addition, the colours are generally easier to maintain for cleaning purposes and last longer. However, if you want to step away from monotone, it is now possible to get your seating options in a range of different colours, textures and patterns. A garden area need not be boring; you can reflect as much of your personality and creative side as you see fit.

Extended

The ultimate in outdoor loungers. For three super lazy individuals who like to recline in their own space, or alternatively, for three guests who want to stay over and don't mind camping outside during a summer night, this is the perfect option for homeowners who love to entertain and throw a party. Seating between 10-12 people, you can spend hours chatting with guests, or lay down in the sunshine with a glass of Pinot Noir and the newspaper. The beauty of the table in the centre is that if the weather gets a slight chill, you can still continue to stay outside in the fresh air.
