As seen previously in our article on The Fairways, Celia Sawyer is no stranger to luxury and bespoke projects. Given the world of design is well and truly at her feet, the project we are about to show you will come as no surprise.

With an already outstanding portfolio of opulent interior design projects, Celia has completed the dream of many—an interior fit out and styling of a private plane. Using her newly launched range of Cool10 products, the design is a delightful fusion of silver and grey, and has employed a lavish, yet mechanical ambience.

Personalised

As with all of Celia's projects, the level of personalisation available to her clients is of paramount importance. The biggest task at hand is being able to creatively redefine such a small space, whilst still making it comfortable, spacious and inviting. One can only imagine being presented with a silver cloche and a five-star meal waiting underneath to be devoured.

Comfort & style

A particularly important part of the brief was to mix comfort and style. Pushing the boundaries of regular aircraft interior design, Celia employed luxurious fabrics and beautiful material finishes for a satisfying and relaxing flight. As most know, air travel can be quiet taxing on your body, especially given that the available space is quite limited. The seats you see pictured are not your standard run of the mill chairs; they have been modified to emulate as much as possible, the feeling of being in the comfort of your own living room.

Mixing business with pleasure

The client requested that both meetings and meals could be enjoyed on the plane. From business travel to family holidays, the plane has the opportunity to be used for a myriad of different purposes. Aeroplane interior need not be boring and sterile, in fact, when you are dedicating the time and money into your own private plane, it should be as personal and intimate as desired.

Sky high galmour

Using specially created fabrics, these chairs, which truly resemble lounge seats, will have you calm and ready for when you land. There is the opportunity to have an existing aircraft fit out with the Cool10 interior range, as well as, of course, brand new planes. This project is vastly different to standard interior design, however, as you can see, Celia has injected a complex commercial space, with as much opulence and cosiness as she would into traditional home design.
