We’re all familiar with those futuristic houses where walls turn into movie screens and lights switch on via voice command. But thanks to ingenious designers thinking outside the box, houses like that are no longer from the future – and today’s homify 360° discovery proves it!
Come with us today as we discover a glamorous, elegant, spacious and very high-tech lounge courtesy of Dome4u, audio and visual experts from Paço de Arcos. Here we’ll discover how modern-day furnishings and décor join up with the latest technology gadgets to create the ultimate comfortable (and stylish) space.
Dome4u specialise in high-end A/V integration projects, home automation and private cinemas. Thanks to their commitment to top-notch results and first-rate technology, clients are treated to exclusive experiences that combine art, design and high-tech gadgets.
At first glance, there’s nothing extraordinary about this living room. Apart from its incredible furnishings tailored to meet clients’ comfort and style requirements, there’s really nothing out of the ordinary here.
Of course that armchair seems most inviting and is well positioned to take full pleasure from that astonishing view flooding in through the generous window. And admittedly we can just imagine lounging on the comfortable sofa while enjoying hours and hours of TV watching.
But not even the spectacular 65-inch screen from Samsung makes us suspect anything about this room’s technology gadgets, as its speakers (Stealth Acoustics LR3G) are invisible.
Hold that thought…
After voicing a need to watch a movie, a huge screen drops down from the ceiling and interrupts the landscape view. Instantly this space went from a beautiful living room to a high-tech private cinema!
Simultaneously, the Barco Orion Cinemascope projector also appears, displaying the server’s movie collection on the screen and activating the sound system consisting of three front speakers, two subwoofers, two surround speakers and two ceiling speakers in a Dolby configuration state-of-the-art surround sound.
How’s that for hiding high-tech gadgets in your modern décor and furnishings?
Art remains one of the best ways in which to flaunt one’s personal style and enhance a home’s décor factor. But what if you no longer have to spend a fortune acquiring those high-end paintings one at a time?
That is, again, where this house’s amazing commitment to technology comes in, for the work of art in that stunning frame is not an ordinary, unmoving picture. That's thanks to Niio, a platform for premium, digital art experiences across residential and commercial spaces, which ensures video and media art for interior spaces—décor on the move, if you will!
And the tiny little piece on the wall on the right is the brain that controls all of these technologic wonders – a Control4 touch screen.
Sharing in the gorgeous open-plan layout of the living / TV room is the dining area, located only a few feet behind the sofa. Offering a slightly separated area for diners and guests, the dining area is also intent on flaunting a deluxe look via its contemporary furnishings and that jaw-dropping mirror / artwork in the background.
But of course the dining space is also privy to the technology of the house, thanks to the presence of the Bang & Olufsen speakers which ensure fabulous ambient sound. Now that’s how you add some background music to dinner!
Don’t forget about lighting, which is just as impressive as the sound and vision of this high-tech home. The system also controls the rooms’ lighting levels, and in this bathroom we can see how the lighting fixtures complement the modern / contemporary design of the décor and furnishings.
In fact, that brainy system allows you to control virtually everything in the home with various sensors, from air-conditioning and heating to the security cameras.
Finally, the menu which makes all of this possible. This little screen allows these homeowners to control what they need to in their home – and thanks to the app, this touch-screen is available on all the televisions, mobile phones and tablets.
Its whole interface has been designed to be as simple and effortless as possible, yet if anyone needs help with a certain function, they only have to use the voice command setting for assistance!
