A recent renovation has brought back the beauty of a classic villa overlooking the hills surrounding London. The large windows, characterising in particular the layout of the ground floor, allow natural light to fill all the areas of the living room.
The Italian Murano glass lighting fixtures created by Multiforme that are enriching this outstanding villa, like the majestic Chimera handmade chandelier in the living room, represent the best synthesis of Italian traditional craftsmanship and the innovation of contemporary design.
Luxurious finishings and high end materials are arranged into unique shapes, custom made creations that are equally aesthetically and functionally impressive: the Italian Murano glass lighting created by Multiforme bring the combination between beauty and efficiency to new level.
Our tour starts at the very center of the house, a large kitchen which is organised around a pretty kitchen island with pantry cupboards, a stainless steel sink, and two-layered worktop that combines wood and stone.
Right above the island is the 12-arm handmade chandelier Edgar, a Murano glass lighting fixture characterised by a clean and balanced structure, created with the
rigadin technique that gives the glass a dynamic, multifaceted finish.
The glass surface of the table is surrounded by windows that allow natural light to fan out freely: another piece of Edgar, the 115 diameter chandelier created by Multiforme, brings its warm light right over the small dining table, enriching the space with its unique shapes.
Another large window allows light to fill the dining room, highlighting both the textures of the wood and some of the unique furnishings and objet d'art. The suspension light Tourbillon with its amber nuances and contemporary style seems a natural match to this subtly elegant layout.
The large, fluid and sprawling shapes of this Murano glass amber chandelier fill the space lightly. A large blown glass sphere is at the center of a composition that develops with rays-like arms which hold handcrafted white organza cylinder lampshades.
The centerpiece of the large living room, with its light pastel undertones contrasted by the bright blue of the capitonné upholstery of the couch, is the impressive chandelier Chimera, an expression of the creativity, experimentation, and evolution of Italian lighting design represented by Multiforme's work.
Chimera's sinuous design is composed by glass listels, organised in harmoniously descending rounded waves, and it is perfect for large rooms, where it is able to bring about the luxurious touch of the 1960s, as we can appreciate in the interior design of this contemporary, magnificent villa.
Developing among the pastel green tones of the walls, a Victorian staircase connects the ground floor to the bedrooms of the top floor. To light this classic staircase, Multiforme has chosen Swing 275, a custom made chandelier, one of its most majestic to date.
With 30 arms arranged on three different levels and 2 m heights, this smooth milk-white, completely handmade chandelier stands out with its majestic although stylised shapes, wrapped around the central stem and the lamp-cover cups.
Multiforme's design chandeliers manage to combine perfectly classic and contemporary design. The best of Italian craftsmanship, materials and creativity, are joined by innovation, a keen eye for contemporary styles, and the outstanding customisation capabilities due to the exceptional know-how of the consummate artisans and creators of handmade chandeliers in Murano glass.
