Inspired by the Mesopotamian Clay Cone Mosaic, Hexacones is an installation composed of 360 hollow plaster hexagonal cones. Created and assembled at Grymsdyke Farm, the pieces were cast over 1 week from CNC foam molds and vinamold inserts.

Designed to tessellate and stack, the cones are arranged in various courses to create verticality, curves, a seat and a dome as part of a wall formation. The project embraces the value of design through making, workshop development, combining of computerised and analog fabrication methods, and the contextualisation of a project in its fabricated environment to be enjoyed in the farm setting.
