It is said that Buddha sat underneath the Bhodi tree when he received enlightenment, hence the 7 bowls representing the 7 levels of enlightenment, the scorched Oak is to resemble old Indian wooden bowls, the shape actually came from a Tibetan singing bowl bought for me by my wife, meanwhile the colours gold and purple invoke images of India to mind.

The top is in Nero Marquina Marble, the base is solid Oak with a burnt finish, with lacquer and gold leaf detailing
