This Garden Design Didsbury needed to reflect the very contemporary, modern interior of the client’s house. To mirror the clean lines and minimal style, porcelain tiles were used along with grey composite decking and tall, white gloss planters. The grey and white tones in this design are lifted by the warmth of the cedar wood slats which continue the modern, linear style along the walls. This house sits within a busy urban area so privacy in the garden design was paramount. This was achieved using a bespoke pergola to give a sense of enclosure, and the gentle flow of the blade water feature masks the noise of traffic providing the garden. The garden was designed to be as easy to maintain as possible; artificial turf, box hedging and low-maintenence planting means the clients have more time to spend sitting and enjoying the garden and less time working in it. The subtle up-lighting provides the perfect evening light for socialising with friends, and an open area under the pergola provides space for seating.
