THE HAYES REFURBISHMENT Modern bathroom by The Market Design & Build Modern

This detached house had seen better days and desperately needed reconfiguring to accommodate the changing needs of our client and their family. Already settled in the area and not looking to move home, our client wanted to take the next step and fully refurbish their home to bring it into the 21st century.

The exterior of the home was fully refurbished using webber rendering to provide a high quality and durable finish. This really helped to modernise the home and give it that touch of quality it desperately needed. Our team also had plenty to do inside. The property contains two existing bathrooms which both needed modernisation, with the installation of a new bathtub, sink and toilet upstairs whilst the downstairs bathroom saw the addition of a new toilet, sink and shower complete with tray and shower screen. The tiling in the upstairs bathroom was selected by the client after a discussion and recommendation from our team, and we think you'll agree it looks absolutely stunning. We took care of the three rooms downstairs too, refurbishing the large main sitting room as well as the second lounge area that was finished off with a fantastic new feature wall and stylish laminate flooring. This part of the refurbishment also included the redecorating of the downstairs bedroom which meant painting, flooring and a new door. The existing utility room was also modernised with the addition of a new boiler and mega flow system that will boost the energy efficiency of the house in the long term as well as improving the distribution of heat throughout the property. In order to link the two floors, a refurbished staircase was fitted to ensure continuity across the entire home. This staircase leads up to three bedrooms which all benefitted from the refurbishment, with strong focus on creating an exciting room for the children that included a fantastic comic strip feature wall. Above this, the loft was reconfigured with the addition of a new steel beam fitted after the removal of the main chimney breast, which also allowed our team to create a larger storage space for the family. Although not a typical property, this refurbishment in Hayes was representative of the high quality and attention to detail that all our clients enjoy.
