The double Laufen Palomba vanity unit with custom glass worktop was the driving focal point in the design of this bathroom. In a Cherry Vermont finish from Laufen’s Palace range, this unit was the perfect size for the space, enabling us to design a small gap either side of the unit, giving a floating look. The proportion and positioning of the products used in the design took significant planning, as we were working around an existing hidden chimney breast within this Grade II listed building. To overcome this, the walls were taken back as far as possible to fit a showering area next to the brickwork, and the area above the chimney breast has been utilised to include three recessed niches.

The showering area itself is fresh, light and simple, with a frameless glass panel for a minimal look in this wetroom area. Overall, the room has a soft and calming feel, with tiles which are softened by an illuminated mirror above the two basins and below with illumination underneath the vanity unit. The lighting, along with the high quality products, adds to the high-end luxury feel that the clients wished to achieve with this twin ensuite.
