A highly sustainable timber framed 5 bedroom house. Built using off site construction methods following the demolition of the old house on the site.
The conservation Area policies of the council dictated an Arts and Crafts style outside in keeping with other houses nearby. The interiors are contemporary. The materials palette of white render and natural zinc with triple glazed aluminium windows and brick highlights works well with the style. Sustainability features include highly insulated walls, slab and roof, solar panels and MVHR—heat recovery ventilation. Planning permission was granted on the 1st of November 2012—the house was erected in 5 days in October 2013.
