The project is the
renovation of a brownstone in the New York Upper East Side.
Every floor has been emptied of all middle partitions and the furred out longitudinal walls have been eliminated to leave the existing brick exposed.
The space thus created is a continuous room with the open kitchen-dining room in the center between living room and library.
The furnishing is spare: the very linear and simple design of kitchen, fireplace, reading ledge, sliding doors, etc. is finished in black zinc laminated wood and black slate.
