In 2012 we had the opportunity to renovate and refurbish a 5 bedroom house in Fulham, working in partnership with a regular investment client. Divided into two flats, with a completely neglected garden to the rear, it required total renovation.
We chose for our redesign a German designed kitchen chosen in a simple vanilla cream; a shade that appeals to a wide audience.  We included a central island where guests can sit whilst the host prepares a meal. Wherever possible in family houses we try to include a larder fridge freezer along with good storage and wide drawers for pots, pans and utensils.  As they say in design circles function before form. We redesigned the garden with a focus on entertaining and family fun. We included an outdoor  seating area which leads seamlessly from the kitchen dining area. Our focal point was a classic yet contemporary water feature which draws the eye through the reception room out to the lawn with the planting above. 
The next big decision with these types of houses is how to get two double bedrooms and two en suites onto one floor.  After careful design and ergonomic planning both en suites looked wonderful once they were tiled, mirrored and beautifully lit.
This was the 6th project in a row where Spiering & Co. broke the selling price record for their respective streets.  Bought at £1.3 million and sold just over a year later at £2.15
