A copper fountain representing two Koi Carp fighting. It was made for exhibiting at the Hampton Court Flower Show.
Each carp projects a column of water upwards from their mouths, which falls back over them, so that their bodies and myriad scales glisten in the light.
They were made with a copper skeleton covered with layers of individually cut scales. The head and tail were hand beaten to shape before being brazed together with a silver/copper braze.
