ARB Architecture

Cotswold Cottage

Our London based clients purchased the property and appointed ARB
Architecture Ltd to assist with the refurbishment programme and to apply for the required permissions so that they could convert/rebuild the auxiliary accommodation to the main house.

The previous annex accommodation had been left in a dilapidated state and was no longer fit for purpose. The brief is to provide a modest three-bedroom annex that would provide additional accommodation when family from overseas visit.

The annex design is sympathetic to the main house and the conservation area that it is located within.

We aim for project completion by 2017.

  • Front elevation of the main house

  • Exisiting building and site for the proposed extension in relation to the main house.

  • Existing building to be demolished

  • Early sketch proposal

An initial sketch by the architect for the proposal. A sympathetic new extension to the existing house replacing the former garage, attached by a glazed link. Materials would be a mix of local stone,
