For a Surrey residential architect this is a wonderful opportunity. It is the second of two homes we have been asked to design in green belt, an area of outstanding natural beauty and the Surrey Hills Conservation area. It adjoins National Trust land and is in an ecologically and environmentally sensitive location. As with the East House that we designed first the planning officers required a design of the highest architectural quality as did the influential Surrey Hills Design Panel who felt that planning permission could only be granted for a house design of the highest architectural quality and sustainability. The house is again contemporary in style while being distinctly different to East House. Approached from the main access road it presents a composition of white rendered walls punctuated by windows. The south facing private garden side of the house expresses the English Oak frame that separates large areas of glazing If you are considering building or extending in a sensitive site in Surrey and think that our experience and Planning contacts we have made on this project might help you please don’t hesitate to call use for a free initial consultation. We would be delighted to assist.
