Meltons had originally refurbished the apartment for their client, but when the apartment above came onto the market, the clients purchased it and asked us to combine the two into one, which meant building a staircase to link the two up. A Library was built and a much larger Kitchen, with a dining area at one end. The roof terrace was turned into a tranquil area for use during the summer.
The new entrance hall and staircase was taken out of the common parts, refurbished and redecorated with polished timber treads. The walls are hand stencilled.
The bespoke joinery was specialist painted so that it resembles timber. The Limestone and timber floor and French furniture and lighting, enhance the space and a Turkish Kilim completes the look.
Meltons turned this room into a comforable Library made of fruit wood, which overlooks the Roof Terrace. An antique Mahal rug works well with the Fortuny fabric on the sofa.
This tiny Cloakroom has leather covered wall, Scagliola vanity unit with a copper basin.
