We were asked to to supply and Install a glass balustrade that looked as if was floating, that could bring natural daylight through the three flights of stair down into the lower ground cinema room.
The stairs were made of mild steel treads clad with a beech sleeve. Glass was fixed through the beech treads then drilled and tapped into the steel treads, the glass was held in place using single point fixings
15 mm heat soaked toughened float glass with polished edges, 50 mm diameter stainless steel adjustable single point fixings drilled and tapped into the main steel structure.
