Epitomising the phrase that good things come in small
packages, Maurizio Pellizzoni’s one-bedroomed apartment is a luxury haven located on the top floor of a Victorian house in South East London. Quickly realising the flat’s potential, Maurizio began by purchasing the freehold of the building so that he could extend into the empty roof space above. This allowed far greater freedom when it came to reconfiguring the space to his personal tastes and needs—a project which took the best part of six years. The apartment embodies the comfortable, eclectic luxury that is synonymous with MPD London interiors. A black painted-steel spiral staircase is a striking focal point within the living space that provides access to the loft space, which Maurizio converted into the main bedroom and dressing room. The staircase connects the loft with the open plan kitchen and living area below- a design that optimises the space and lends itself to plenty of social entertaining.
