The apartment is on the lower ground floor of this beautiful historic Grade II Listed Building near Holland Park, London and was previously neglected: a damp, dark and poorly configured space. Having obtained the requisite Planning, Listed Building and Freeholder consents, Flower Michelin have transformed it into a bright and spacious one bedroom apartment: the apartment was fully damp-proofed; internal walls were removed to form an open plan living space; and a new window was added into the south facing elevation to flood the living space with light. The joinery throughout the property was bespoke and all designed by Flower Michelin including: shelving to the Main Reception, full height cupboards to the Bedroom, and new minimalist kitchen with integrated appliances and utility. Integrated joinery was key to reclaiming as much floor space as possible in the apartment, while discreetly accommodating substantial areas of storage and bringing much needed light into the rooms.Ceilings were adjusted to accommodate concealed lighting, enhancing the sense of height and light throughout the flat and guiding you through the spaces. Flower Michelin’s bathroom design included beautifully mitred full height marble slabs and used mirrors to bring a translucency and lightness into what was a previously dark and confined bathroom. The finished apartment is a thoroughly minimal, modern and elegant transformation within this historic building and provides a stunning place to live in this sought after area of London
