A bungalow adaptation for a private client and her wheelchair bound father in Chorlton, Manchester. Works include fully accessible kitchen, wetrooms and lift. The property was an unusual bungalow, with one bedroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms in the attic and a dormer in the attic to the front. It had a garage to the rear which has asbestos. The brief was to extend to the side and move the stairs to create lift access to the first floor. On the ground floor all the doors to be widened for wheelchair access. An accessible bedroom with access to the bathroom for the wheelchair bound father. Also, a utility room and to knock through the kitchen and living room with the ‘wow factor’ underfloor heating downstairs and solar panels on the roof. On the first floor, a Juliette balcony to the rear first floor master bedroom with a jack and jill ensuite with rooflights to the front and rear to let in as much light as possible.
